Would it surprise you to learn that Kornet has played more minutes than Kay Kay this year? Kornet 17.3 minutes per game. Williams 15.4 minutes per game.

If you look at the overall statistics, they aren't that different, and Kornet is rapidly gaining on Kay Kay. These are from Yahoo:

Kornet actually has more blocks and is close on rebounds. It helps if you don't foul.

I was really disappointed in how Kornet started this year. I think she was a little too focused on trying to hit 3's, instead of expanding her game. She has a ton of potential and has improved, and I'm sure she will continue to improve in car the season continues. Was convinced it might be a "sophomore slump" kind of year for her, but hoping she's starting to turn things around.

I thought she was too focused on hitting the 3's last year and didn't start hitting them til near the end of the year. IMO her overall game has been much improved this year and is just now starting to find her rhythm on the offensive end. She does a lot of things very well and I think once she's more consistent on offensive end, she'll really stand out. I believe she's only going to get better throughout her career here as she has all the tools to be one of the top players in the conference, if not higher.

+1, She's starting to find out she doesn't have to sit out side waiting for her shot. With her size she can take a lot of kids off the dribble, or post up. Her rebounding is pure joy to watch. I really like this kid.

I like that Kornet has played well the last couple of games but I'm not sure if this is temporary or if her past problems are truly behind her. However, I do think she deserves to start.

Nicole, IMO, will continue to get better as the season progresses. But we should all realize that every player will have a bad game here and there. It seems to me that we tend to base our opinions of our Sooner players almost entirely on how they performed in their most recent game.

This team – Kornet included – has great potential. Sherri will have these kids playing better defense as the season progresses.

Kornet had "completed" very little this year. At times, she has played brilliantly. The shots just didn't fall. She began the year by being active on both ends of the court, but her shots didn't fall.

It looked like she lost a little confidence. Then, there was that ankle injury that sidelined her for a game. We kind of needed her in that game. She played very little in some games.

In three of the past four games, her shot has begun to fall. She didn't play enough against Duke to do anything. I think she had two minutes. But, is she really doing that much differently? It seems to me that she is doing what she began to do, but it is now working. I'm not yet sure whether the kinks are out, or whether it is Maryland-Eastern Shore and Fairfield. We have to see if she keeps this going, or if it is just a couple of games against weak opposition.
