107.7 during the 5 pm hour to talk about the Tourny and OU's spot at #5

1st thoughts on seeing OU....Coach was shocked OU did not get a game closer to Oklahoma.

OU had 5 game film by the end of the night of ND State

Here's a recap:

A little disappointed about being sent to Spokane, especially for the fans. Players and coaches are still excited.

NDSU is a very good, well-coached team. Coaches have already watched a lot of film.

About the selection process: There will always be deserving teams left out.

It's easier to build good team chemistry when you're winning, although losing is the ultimate test for how close your team is.

NCAA Tourney Prep: No different than regular season prep. Players are coached to prepare for every game like it's their last. Lon expects the players will be amped up and ready to go.

The threat of "one-and-done" is something that needs to be coached against. Players are coached to rely on what got them to this point.

OU coaches will do ZERO scouting on SD St over the next three days. 100% of the focus is on ND St.

On how OU will rebound from Baylor loss: Didn't like start against Baylor. Early confidence is vital to success. Players will need to learn from it because there are no second chances from here on out.

On potential Bedlam matchup in Sweet 16: It would be great to make it to the Sweet 16, and even better for the state and conference if we could meet OSU there.

Lon and the staff prepare for every game the same way. You'd disrespect your opponents if you prepare for them differently.

Lon enjoys more than anything the opportunity to work with and develop young people.

In their spare time, Lon and Barbara dote on their 19 month-old granddaughter and travel a lot.

Bob Stoops is a good golfer.

Lon on his golf handicap: "Needs to be lower."

Thanks for the recap, but I do have to laugh at the Bob Stoops is a good golfer part. I guess it's all relative, but no he isn't haha.
