In looking at the standings, we are a 3 point basket away from second place in the Big 12 after 10 games. If I had told you that at the beginning of the year, what would your response be?

Speaking of KSU, the KU game tv commentators kept talking about how great the KU defense was, but I thought KSU's defense was much better.

I would agree. Only two teams have scored 70+ points on KSU all year: Michigan and Iowa State. Both of those games were away from the octagon. And those are two pretty darn good offensive teams (Ken Pom has Michigan #1 in offensive and Iowa State is #13).

If we had beat Kstate, wouldn't we only have 3 losses (which is what KU has and which is also what Kstate would have)?

Even though we lost the KSU game, the good news is 5 of the top 6 teams, which are the only ones that really have a chance to win the conference title, all have either a bad loss or a home loss. The exception is OSU for now.

KU lost at home to OSU
KSU lost at home to KU
OU lost at home to KSU
ISU lost at Tech
Baylor lost at home to OU

So, that loss is hurting us, but not as bad as it could be.
