Maybe I'm wrong, but I think the #2 and the #3 seeds will be on the opposite side of the bracket from the #1 seeded KU. If that is not the case, I definitely see your point.
The 2 and 3 seed are on the same side of the bracket. Because if the top 4 seeds advance to the final 4 of the big 12 tourney it would be 1 vs. 4 and 2 vs. 3.
If OU is the 3 seed they are locked into playing the 6 seed; if OU is the 2 seed they would play the winner of the 7 seed vs TCU (10 seed).

Depending on how the last couple of games go, OSU, Baylor, Texas Tech and West Virginia are playing for the 6th thru 9 seeds in the tourney. So its hard to say if OU would benefit more from being the 2 or the 3 seed. I just hope to avoid OSU because they would be harder to beat 3 times in a row than Baylor IMO.
