Headed with a buddy...got row 1 or 2 tickets..kind of in the corner.

Hopefully we can give them a game. Interior will be tough but I think our guards can handle theirs for a time.

Great atmosphere...went yrs ago with Taj Grey, Bookout...we had the lead at half but ended up losing by 12ish I think.

We led by 16 midway through the second half on Super Bowl Sunday in 2006 after a Taj follow dunk. The rest of that game still hanuts me, we only scored a few points and lost by two or three. One of many times we have led in the second half in Lawrence but couldn't seal the deal.

I was at that game as well. Not going this year. Really get tired of watching the calls down the stretch in that place. Only way to win is to miss no shots and have no turnovers down the stretch. Very difficult to do when the refs swallow their whistles for the other side.

We were a Khadeem Lattin made free throw away from winning there a few years ago.

I remember the game on Super Bowl Sunday. That was the one where Godbold kept the ball in play from the bench. I was watching at a Buffalo Wild Wings where a drunk OU fan was dancing and celebrating as we blew the game at the end. So I’m haunted too.

I got to go to the aforementioned game where Buddy went off and 3OT. Even despite the loss, it was the best basketball game I’ve ever attended even in the highest seats in the house.

Or perhaps an official's whistle on the inbounds play where the official told the KU guy (I'm spacing on his name) to back off but did nothing whatsoever when he didn't.

"I knew he wouldn't call it," the KU player said afterward, and if that doesn't confirm the home cooking they get in Lawrence, I don't know what could.

Can't disagree with much of anything you guys have posted here. I've been to every OU game in Lawrence for 30 years give or take and we've lost in almost every imaginable way. But from the few home losses they have suffered over the years, the key is doing all the fundamental things down the stretch. Make free throws, don't turn it over, take care of the defensive glass. And sadly, you know you'll have to overcome some late whistles if the game is tight. Combine that with a great coach and elite talent, and it's no wonder they hardly lose there.

I hate Kansas as much as anybody, but it really is a must if you're a college basketball fan. I'm 0-3 in the Phog.

Lattin. Sheesh. Maybe someday I'll forgive him.

Frank Mason & that's still the #1 thing that steams my arse about that game. We played like doggy doo in Norman that year & deserved to lose that one so I was considerably less upset about that loss to them than normal, but they flat got hosed that night in Lawrence.

Guess I got the score wrong...were we down by 12 in 2nd half?

Anyways...yeah I grew up in Wichita, 80% plus of my high school went to ku...snobs at the time.

Have some good friends that are ku folks..most are pretty reasonable but some are just downright jacka$$es.

Great place to see what great venues are like....incredible atmosphere.

yup...good analysis. I'm sure ku will look to pound it inside, without JM we'll be pushing to play good Def.

The other PF for ku, the transfer, he's been very good in the big man's absence.

I look for our guards to push it when they can.

It would be nice for Manek to have a killer night.

Headed with my bud about 6ish. Hopefully happy after!
BOOMER~

KC sports page predicts a close game and gives their take on OU strengths, weaknesses, and players to watch.

I like the little write-up but disagree with them about defensive pressure. Reyrey, Calixte, and Bieniem-ay actually do put pressure on the ball at the top. Bieniemy especially. Odomes does too. I dont think it's an OU weakness.

We are 8.5 underdogs tonight. I think we can cover.....winning on the other hand....we'll see.

Looks like muni is going to play. Which as a gambler seriously pisses me off that we were misled.

He just said “no bounce” in the lay-up line. I assume he was talking about his jumping.

No Muni at the start. Sounds like he won’t go or if he does won’t be himself.
