Great atmosphere at the end and a big part of that was because there wasn’t a mass exodus at the under 8 and 4 time-outs. This has long been an issue that’s driven me nuts. Oh and by the way I’m typing this as I’m still sitting in the parking lot trying to get out of here.

Thanks for representing, Perry! The crowd was awesome today! The players really fed off u guys late in regulation and throughout OT.

Yes, finally saw a good crowd and stayed for the whole game. I wished the crowd was a little more into it than what they were but at least we had butts in the seats. Now lets see how they do when we play KU and WVU at home.

Exactly. If our crowd was anything like WVU, KSU, ISU, or KU, we would have won the Big 12 2 years ago. It will likely cost us this year as well. But it's been an OU problem for a long time. We should just appreciate what Lon Kruger has done for the program as well as Joe C getting Kruger.

We lost one home game two years ago. We lost the conference by three games.

Won't help at the KU game that the start time is 6 pm, of course thats for TV purposes. If you work and live in OKC or especially Edmond tough to get to Norman for 6 pm game, at least on time. Will be a late arriving crowd.

2 years ago, it would have meant we lost the conference by 1 game instead of 3, and that's assuming we lose the same games we lost. (lost to KU)

3 years ago, it would have meant we tied KU for the title. (lost to KSU at home)

4 years ago, it would have meant we beat KU for the title (lost 2 home games including the KU one)

2009, it would have meant we won the league

I don't like 6:00 weeknight games but for Kansas everyone needs to take steps, suck it up and get there early despite rush hour traffic and security lines.

Fans were REALLY good yesterday and gave a big lift down the stretch and in OT. Will be nice to get the students back for the remaining home games.

2009 - the fans (including the student section) were AWESOME. Loud and into it every conference game. Almost beat KU without Blake.

Buddy’s senior year the fans (including the student section) were very good during conference play. Gameday was well attended and it just wasn’t in the cards against KU - didn’t play well. Had nothing to do with the crowd. “The Bannana” and the other student leaders did a really good job. Our NCAA tourney crowds were wonderful.

OU basketball crowds take a lot of crap (and I’ve ragged a bunch in the past) but they are not the reason Blake’s soph team and Buddy’s senior team didn’t win conference titles.

Enjoy the crowds the rest of the year. Be positive and supportive. Hopefully there will be some student leadership that gets involved for the rest of this year and next year.
