Kudos to Terrance Jones

One look at Jerica Logue and I knew immediately why Terrance took her flowers. ;)

Of course it is not like all the previous cheerleaders that got hit were not good looking young women. For the most part that is prerequisite to being a cheerleader at most schools. I think the guy deserves credit for doing a classy thing. Kentucky Lousiville is one of the nastier rivalries in sports so that makes it even more notable. It would be nice if the fans could follow the lead of the players.

That is almost always the case, isn't it?

An Oklahoma chearleader was on the list of girls who might receive the flowers. That's big time.

I didn't know there was a list. According to the article, it was a Louisville cheerleader who had to have stitches after he crashed through the endline.

Yes kudos. Another good photo of girl that received the flowers. Thank you co worker for emailing me this. Outstanding.

That was my lame attempt at humor. OU made Terrence Jones "list' out of high school like OU did with so many other big time recruits that year. In the end, OU got nothing.

I assume Terrance Jones took this the night after delivering the flowers? I think I could afford some flowers to send her as well :vitale

You mean you can't avoid them? You need one of those chairs on rollers! :D

Most of the time, there is no place to go. We all sit there in our little camp chairs, we usually have fans right behind us. Quick reflexes will keep you from getting a basketball imprint on your face, but when a player is coming your way, you just have to pray and make yourself small. Basketball is much more dangerous for photographers than football. I know a guy who is disabled though from an incident when shooting high school baseball.

The only thing I've shot where I thought I might end up dead though, was this.

They are not supposed to match anymore. That is what kids do now. My niece taught me this.

I know, I was just trying to be funny.

I have joked about what T. Jones did in buying the cheerleader flowers from the begnning. In truth, I believe he should be commended. It's refreshing to see a young man show compassion and respect for fans of another school, regardless of the circumstances that brought them together. Jones was one player I really wanted when Capel was recruiting him a few years back. He seems like a really nice kid. And, he deserves the kudos MsProud used as a title to start this thread!

I'm always up for an excuse to do a google image search for Louisville cheerleader...
