I recall rocjunkie and perhaps one or two others who predicted good things about LaNesia but I admit, I was skeptical. In fact, I felt that she was destined to be a practice player who only hoped of getting mop up minutes. Boy, was I wrong! She probably brings as much spark when she enters the game of anyone on the team. She still needs a bit of refinement on the defensive end (she's good now but can get better) but she certainly knows what the object of the game is on the offensive end! She sometimes goes through double teams but so far she is getting away with it because she has good ball handling skills. She can use work on her outside shot but not many want to try to guard her when she decides to take it to the rim. She plays like her hair is on fire and I love that! She is one who will be fun to watch develop over the next year or two. If I were to define her in one word it would be, fearless.

I also thought she would have a difficult time getting playing time, but her athleticism and sound skill set in all phases has both surprised me and impressed me.
one word description is athletic

Right now, 3 games in LaNesia is the best of the 3 OKC guards.
Super smooth on offense and has that killer mid range jumper.

and rebounds, defends and can get back in transition.......she reminds me of Nyeisha Stevenson, with more basketball knowledge, experience and confidence as a freshman than Nyeisha had

I loved Nyeisha. I can remember being very excited when we signed her.

Fearless is a very good word for not only LaNesia, but Gabi, Maddie, Peyton, and T'ona. They are not afraid to rebound with the giants, and they chase balls and get on the floor for loose balls. LaNesia is probably our best penetrator on the team right now. Every time she takes it to the rim, it seems good things happen. She has earned every single minute she has played. I really like watching her play. Nicole's passion has rubbed off on her.
