Here is our remaining schedule

Sat, Feb 21 Kansas State (Away)

Wed, Feb 25 Baylor (Home)

Sat, Feb 28 Kansas (Home)

Mon, Mar 02 Oklahoma State (Away)

I admit I'm not sure we can win all these by double digits. ;)

Honestly, I only see one game (Kansas) I feel pretty comfortable about. Could we win all of them? That is a pretty big hill to climb, but ....

Here are my predictions:

Win 1 95% certain Conference Record 11 -7, 2nd place very likely.
Win 2 60% Conference Record 12 -6, 2nd place certain.
Win 3 40% Conference Record 13 -5, 2nd place certain.
Win 4 5% Conference Record 14 -4, 2nd place certain.

What do you think?

I think we split, 2-2, and I don't know which ones that we win. I can see us winning or losing every game. I'm not exactly sure where we are right now. If I thought Gioya were back to her early conference form, I would suggest that we could go 4-0. Unless Gioya gets her head back in the game, she is going to be on the court about 18 minutes.

I think the players going forward, until someone steps up, are Peyton, Gabbi, Kay Kay, Sharane, Maddie, Vivi, T'Ona, and Nicole, with Treece providing some backup. Gioya has to get her head back into it because she is doing more than just missing shots. LaNesia has talent, but she has made all bad decisions for about three weeks. Derica hasn't added anything, and seems lost on her passing at times.

I agree 2-2, as I predicted in a thread last week(3-3).. I too am not sure where this team is. We got a great game scoring from Sharane, but it was her first double point game in nearly 2 months -- and most of it was 3s. She isn't going to shoot like that 2 games in a row.

I am concerned we just can't beat KSU and OSU on the road as erratic as we seem to be.

All depends on which girls show up.

I don think Maddie starts in place with Goyia, even with Carter playing poorly.

I say we go 3-1. We are better than every team not named Baylor.

Love for you to be right, Norm.

I'd pick at least 3-1, suggesting that the team hasn't completely lost how they got here.

A couple of those four road losses were in overtime, and one was pretty much stolen from us. I think most people know which one I'm talking about.

I'll say 3-1 as well. I would like to go 4-0 but I'm afraid Baylor will be too much for us.

I agree, if we play as well in our next two road games as we did in the last game at Ames.

I think that Iowa State is better than either KSU or OSU, and we should have won the Iowa State game!

Of course, we COULD lose all four games, but, short of a total collapse, I highly doubt it.

Gioya will be in Sherri's starting lineup for all four of those games. It's true that her playing time could go down if she doesn't play well.

I'm also hoping for 3-1. A couple of weeks ago I was confident we would beat Baylor at Norman, but now it looks like a long shot.

Of the other three, the game at Manhattan concerns me the most. KSU's style of play can be problematic for us, and they gave us all we wanted in Norman. Kansas, at home, is almost a sure win, and we should be able to handle the aggets, even at Stillwater.

two road games and Baylor = 1-3 hope I am wrong.

We are 4-3 on the road in conference games, and two of those were in overtime and one was at Waco. That's an overly pessimistic forecast.

New to the board, but I believe 4-0 all the way! We CAN and WILL do it! BOOMER FREAKIN SOONER!

Agree with you about Gioya. We need her back for the rest of the games and post season. It looks to me like it is a mind thing. Actually, I have never felt she looked as comfortable on the floor as Gioya or Peyton or Maddie, even when she was playing much better. Of course, I could be way wrong but believe if she could get really comfortable she would be back.

I think if OSU is on that it will be the most difficult game. Any could be really tough. Looking forward to Saturday.

I think we'll go 3-1, though tomorrow's game scares me. KState actually played us pretty well in Norman, so going there could provide a stiff challenge.
Something about KSt this year … they got us in football and twice in MBB … games which were all winnable for us, but not quite able to pull it off. Hopefully, tomorrow goes our way.
