I'm watching him play against Findlay Prep on ESPNU right now and I think he has TMG/Tiny Gallon written all over him. He doesn't play defense, doesn't hustle, and likes to curse at his teammates.

He's a freakish athlete and his talent is deserving of a high ranking but I wonder how well he'll respond to a more structured style of play at OSU?

I agree- I have watched him 5 or 6 times and his body language is poor most of the time.

You never know how a kid like that will respond when they get to college. The thing that killed OU last year is they had 3 guys like that. They also had to have those guys on the floor to have a chance to win. OSU returns all of their wing players next year so if Lebryan doesn't play hard Brown and JP will play while he sets the bench.

Also Keiton will put the smack down on Lebryan if he causes any trouble:)

I agree with the first part, osu has guys they can play if he doesn't want to put in the work, however, Page couldn't put the smack down on my 8 year old nephew. :D

That's the key. You have to make him a part of being successful as a team, not relying on his success to become a good team. That's why Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, etc., make it work with all the converging egos.

We'll see if Ford can make it work, quite frankly I have my doubts.

Thats also a reason why teams with experience on their roster perform better b/c they have older guys who can lead younger guys by example.

Now that's funny, Max.

LB views Stillwater as a necessary evil on his way to what he views is a long-term NBA career. For this reason, I agree that his disposition is much like that of TMG and Tiny last season for us.

I would compare the three this way. LB is absolutely the most physically gifted. He has a more diverse skill set than either TMG or Tiny, and routinely makes NBA level plays on the offensive end of the floor. He is way less consistent than either TMG or Tiny in his productivity relative to the competition. He is even more disinterested in competing most nights than either TMG or Tiny was. Lastly, he has been in the national spotlight for a much longer period of time than either TMG or Tiny was. The scrutiny on LB is almost laughable and has been present since 7th grade. It almost certainly has helped shape his emotional makeup, good and bad.

As for college, he will make an impact for OSU; however, he will not likely take much of the input he receives on that level (whether from coaches or teammates) seriously enough to make changes. Again, he views next season as a mandated stepping-stone. Nothing more.

For his sake, I hope he changes his disposition over the next 9 months, but I personally don't see that happening.

I don't really care if he changes his outlook on life at OSU. All I care is that for atleast one year he plays hard on both ends of the floor. I think he will because OSU has enough talent at his position to set him on the bench if he isn't playing hard. He will be motivated by playing time in order to play hard. At OU there wasn't really anyone to replace TMG and Tiny when they were not playing hard and being selfish. They both knew they would be on the floor no matter what.

Page would make us better! And he would destroy you and your nephew.

So what exactly are you saying then... that you could beat Page up in a fight?

Congrats, I guess, on being able to beat up a 5'8 150 pound guy...

This is the difference. He's good enough to be a jerk.

Absolutely this, but this is kind of what osujeff does. Goes around defending OSU on messageboards.
