Buddy didn't get injured. First round draft stock still intact.

That's all I've got.

:facepalm

Let's hope that OU can make it back sooner than another 14 years, lol.

Great season in 2016.

Next year will be fun to watch some new players grab the reins.

Pretty sure Hield's 9 pts gave him the most points of any single player in any tournament. I may have read the graphic wrong earlier but I think he needed 7 to tie.

I considered going to Houston and didn't. That's a positive for me.

Hopefully, returning players will take the time to study the film and learn from it. Most importantly, have to play better D. As hot as Nova was we were probably not going to win the game no matter but D has to be the consistency you try to achieve. No excuse for an off day on defense.

The rest of it was just an emotional collapse. This is what can happen in a one and done setting.

Our D has to get better. I know we had a pretty solid D efficiency stats most of the season, but I never felt like we were a very good defensive team. Too much gambling and being out of position. Not enough help and good rotations. Part of getting better on D is getting better play from inside players too. LK has to find somebody with some size. And that doesn't just mean height, it means a dude that has broad shoulders, that eats up space. It kills me watching bigs at all these schools that aren't on OU's level, and yet most of the time, we struggle to field a roster of 3-4 bigs that look like they belong. I don't worry about the guards offensively, we've recruited well there.

James asserted himself on the offensive side for a couple of minutes in the first half and gave fans a glimpse of what was to come.

It was still a really great year. Obviously that was kind of mind-boggling loss, but I can still look back fondly at this tournament run. I am done travelling to big OU sporting events though, as it just sucks when we lose and ruins the trip.

I can relate. It seems to happen a lot.

When I do travel with the Sooners, I have learned to try to make it an extended trip so that there is much more to the trip than the game. For example, my trip to the OU-Tennessee game lasted a week, as I spent time in Memphis (Beale Street), Nashville and Knoxville. Along the way I made stops at the Shiloh National Battlefield, The Heritage, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Of course it was made even better when the Sooners beat the Volunteers, but I had fun anyway.

On OU-Texas weekend, I always spend at least 2 nights in Dallas, and go to Pappadeaux's at least once.

It is no fun to make a "quick trip" and then lose the game. I do try to avoid that.

there were no positives.....no fight and unprepared

Alright Earmuffs. Guy, just shut the ever loving **** up. Pretty sure you live a worthless existence and the only thing you ever have to brag about is OU, so your entire life is crushed when they lose. Get a grip and seriously just go Michael Hutchence yourself.

He's been banned, so he can't hear you.

Ad believe me, he never brags about OU. He's negative 24/7/365.

But think twice, please, about telling someone to commit suicide. It's not really a topic to be joked about at any time, and especially not now, when it's impacted one of our players in the past couple of weeks.

Michael Hutchence wasn't attempting suicide. He was attempting auto-erotic asphyxiation and died in the process.
