I would like to hear it to decide if my family might want to use it in my dad's memorial service. Some of you who I'm friends with in "real life" already know we lost him on Friday. He was a long-time season ticket-holder with my mom, for the women's games, but he was also a big OU men's basketball fan.

I'm pretty sure Toby's song wasn't specific to Wayman, so that's why I'm curious. We might not use any outside music, and it might be too emotional anyway. But I am curious if it might be a way to convey the sadness for my dad's "old friends" because of his passing.

So if anyone has a link, please post it.

Sorry for your loss man.

We used that song for a slideshow for my brother's wake service. It was very nice but definitely a tear jerker.

Prayers to you man

So sorry for your loss, NMSooner! You and your family will be in my prayers.

Please accept mine and my families condolences. That is a beautiful song (probably his best) and as many said is a hard one to get through. I am sure it would be appropriate though.

Thanks for all the kind words. My mom ruled out any music at the service. I did enjoy listening to it again, and other than the part about the "upside-down guitar," it almost seemed like he was singing about my dad and his old friends.

My dad made it to the age of 83 and did get to see the NCAA second-round game with my brother and me in OKC. He had to use a wheelchair to get there, but we did get a nice seat at the Peake for that thrilling OU-VCU game. Sadly, he didn't make to any OU games since the softball regionals in May.
