OU 24-20 after one quarter. The reserves have played a lot, and they are two of nine from the free throw line. Nancy has not played.

We're up by 4 at the end of the 1st. I know stats don't always tell the full story, and I have absolutely no idea how good Olimpico 64 is, but here are some observations:

-We are 9-16 from the field (YES!!!!) and 4-5 from 3 (YES!!!!) but only 2-9 from the FT line (no no noooooo).
-The starters were Ortiz, Maddie, Gioya, Peyton, and VPL. No surprises there.
-No one with more than 1 foul
-Mulkey has yet to log a minute

38-27 at half. FT shooting is bad.

Very concerning that we don't seem to have improved at FT shooting.

Peyton had a good half and played the most minutes (7 pts, 3-3 FG, 3 rebs, 2 assists). If she can iron out her consistency issues, she could be all Big 12 this year.

The reserves didn't get a lot of minutes that quarter. Mostly the starters playing together.

Olimpico has made just 1 of their last 16 FG attempts.

Is Rich not allowed to play in Spain due to transfer rules?

Only one starter has shot a FT, Vivi. She is 1 of 3. The reserves are 4 of 13. In field goals, the starters are 8 of 16, primarily because Ortiz is one of five. The reserves are 6 of 16, and they are only that because Derica is 3 of 3 from 3.

Vivi has six rebounds. Nancy only played three minutes and had two rebounds and a turnover.

I don't think Derica played at all in the 2nd after her hot start.

After three, 55-37. Penzo came up with four late in the third.

I liked Penzo's stat line best: four for four from the field for eight points, three rebounds, three steals in only ten minutes. I'd take that every game.
