GIA is awesome compared to LNC. I have been to several games in both arenas. When at capacity, in a big game, GIA is far superior to LNC.

My only beef with GIA is the far upper decks... I kid you not you are basically climbing.

To measure arenas in a year like this has little value. Perhaps he is focusing on the locker room and things such as that which are seen by the few.

lol, what a clown.

I'm more upset that our basketball team couldn't shut him up than I am with our arena.

Gia is terrible if you actually want to watch. The basketball game.

Unless you are in the first 10 rows. You get the same or worse view as the tv view there.

Its dangerous in the nosebleeds. I was freaking out with my grandparents trying to walk them years ago with those crazy skinny and high steps

If you are looking for a glorified high school gym from the 1940s, look no further than GIA.

target center gonna be rocking next year bruh. enjoy frozen hell.

It was weak for him to say it but LNC is not a great arena. The concrete, the open concourse... it’s terrible and outdated. We need a new arena that seats about 9,000 with fans closer to the court, enclosed concourse and maybe a few luxury suites.

However, GIA isn’t very good either and as others have said, the upper deck seats are terrible.

Players don’t care about the angle of the stairs or how the game looks from the nosebleed section. It is all about the amenities for them. OSU took a bunch of Boone’s money and built a swank locker room and workout facility. OU’s may be just as nice, I don’t know. I think he was just getting a jab in at OU like Baker Mayfield would have done to OSU.

Im glad he said it. The more negativity around it the more likely we get a better arena.

I fall into this camp. I'm tired of the excuse being "We're a football school". No, we're actually one of top overall athletic programs in the country on average.

Not a bad thing to say, trash the rival’s arena, when you know you are one and done. Pretty funny. I do miss the Tubbs days when our arena got really loud. Some of Sampson’s time too. Now it is nothing but an echo in there. COVID should have been the great equalizer for us. Maybe it was, LOL.

GIA was good before the remodeling. I don’t like it now. Still claim it might have be the record for the largest decibel drop in the shortest amount of time when I sat in there many years ago and saw David Little hit the late long ranger. It was a beautiful thing.
