LNC update

again that is a myth .. buying basketball seats gives you 1 extra priority point

the same as buying tennis tickets or soccer ..

people buy the tickets so they can have easy access to the "big" games ..

Bingo!!

Whatever they decide it has to bring fans closer to the floor.

This is true but most of the seats also require a donation which again improves your seating at Texas, bowl games and away games.

You get better seats for those events and you come to the KU, Texas and OSU games if they are convenient.

How stupid is the AD if they are asking what will make donors in Dallas happy. They will never come to Norman for a mid week game and rarely for a weekend game.

Also the worst move Joe has made was renovating the LNC and putting the practice courts with them. It was a waste of money. Please build another facility.

I'm not a fan of a new facility but if they build one, I would like to see reduced seats behind the goals, especially up high, and more seats on the sides. Even in the Tubbs and Sampson days, the seats up high behind the goals were only full for big games. I think some who want to attend games just won't sit in those seats because it is hard to tell whats' going on up there.

Like the Reynolds Center at TU?

Read my original post again. These focus group meetings involved feedback on potential improvements at both LNC and the football stadium. There are a lot of donors in the Dallas area that attend football games.

I am just excited that there is momentum to change LNC (or build new). As others have stated, we really need to get the fans closer to the court. And make sure it is the fans.....not the banks of mostly empty seats next to the court that we have right now. No matter the seating capacity, this will make a huge difference in our home court.
