We are going to be very close to having the maximum number on the roster next season. We might even have a full roster.

But I think it would be a good idea to get the maximum bodies on the bench now for a couple of reasons:

1. We don't know how Maddie is going to be able to play and what kind of impact she's going to have.

2. After the last couple of years, we should all know, including the coaching staff, that we are going to lose one or two players, probably starters, to major injury.

3. We are young and young talent makes mistakes or ends up not being as good as you hoped they would be.

4. We might have some transfers.

Gibbs, Kellog, Edwards -- who really knows if they can cut the mustard. Same could be said for Maddie now, Little (she wasn't starting for A&M, if I remember right), Carter. Who knows which Kornet is going to show up next year. And does any of us think we don't need an active, imposing center.

Many of those needs could be filled and we won't know until January of 2015.

I know we don't have much room for manuvering, but if we have any, we should use it.

So, I'd take the best players I can get now and fill that roster. But that's just me. Thoughts?

If Sherri adds anyone else this year, she would almost certainly sign a juco big. I am not big (no pun intended) on jucos. I know we need another big badly but, given our situation, I would rather see us not sign a juco and just take our chances this fall with our roster, even though it is unbalanced.

I agree with you on Juco's, Norm. They haven't exactly worked out too well in the past, have they?

In the past we have had some jucos who helped a lot. But, in the last several years, we haven't had good luck with them.

Since we have Peyton, I'm really high on transfers right now. :)

I know Cowboysooner really likes Ellis so I will take his opinion that she could help us at the PF position. Of course, she is in the 2015 class so it would be a year before we would have the benefit of adding her.

Personally, I really like our roster now. I don't want another JUCO. Remember Peyton was a freshman at A&M. She has been in our program a full season and from what I am hearing gave team mates fits in practice. I think she will be really good and replace some of Aaryn's scoring next season. However, with that said, we really do need another "quality" big, but may have to wait another season to get one. I am hoping Kaylon will turn it around and Vionise will be the real deal. Just have to wait and see.

I'm with you boonies, Rock. But an incoming freshman off of an ACL tear who won't even be cleared to practice until October or December -- you just can't expect too much. If there ever was a chance to red-shirt someone, she would be the one.

However, Sherri has said that probably isn't going to be possible.

I haven't looked at the statistics, but if ESPN is correct, and A&M only had 1.3 three point shots a game this year, they could have used Little to bust a few zones.

I don't know that our problem is height. We had enough. We didn't have the fight to get rebounds that we had with Jo. At 5-11, Davis had it.

As some have mentioned, and it should be clear watching the NCAAs, the teams that are really good don't stand around. ND and UConn pass quickly and constantly. They move the ball around until they find someone---anyone---who is open. How much does that shooting percentage go up if someone is open? But, that takes three things that we really haven't been doing well the past couple of years: movement, passing, and working to get open. Sometimes, I wish we would modify Kelvin's lid on the basket drill with a ball that doesn't bounce drill. Force everyone to pass in order to move the ball.

M Manning is suppose to clear in May. Vionese in Oct according to soonersports. I like Jordan Moore, Brooke Alexander, or Makenzie Ellis for 2015. Natasha Mack, Lauren Cox, and Chelsea Dungee for 2016, Charli Collier at 6-3(2018) sounds real good. Nevermind Collier is committed to UT. I just hope Ellis doesn't go to UT.

You bet, then add Llanusa for 2017 and you would have a really good group.

Right now, Jo'Nah Johnson is saying A&M is her favorite team but hopefully that will change by the time she commits.

I don't have any issues with this group. If they fail to start believing in each other next year, then I'll start to worry...
