The Ponzi scheme? Apparently involved former OU football asst coach Jim Donnan, the same guy I used to play racquetball with at Huffman.
The ponzi scheme stuff doesn't bother me, tons of people were sucked into that crap. It is concerning how many former staffers have left.
I am happy with polished of a coach we landed and do feel for the situation now that Kruger>BCG. If we had landed some of the candidates being mentioned, you'd still hear me griping but I'm very very happy with LK. I do think BCG will have Tech winning very soon.
Sure glad I stuck to my "pass on Gillispie's baggage" position. He's a very good coach, but not worth the risks, as TTU is beginning to realize about now.
Interesting debate between UK and TT fans, though. Can't say I disagree with the Tech poster's rebuke of UK fans for their crticism of Gillispie, when their own head coach has had more than his share of shady dealings over the years. Callipari is just smarter than Billy G, and a lot better at covering his arse.
Yep, I said the same thing. Anybody who didn't see a train wreck waiting to happen with Gillispie wasn't looking.
I had strong reservations about him due to his reported problems at Kentucky, but I never realized he was so volatile and difficult to get along with.
Haven't you ever been around a drunk?
I understand what you are saying and I have been around people like that. The irony is that Bobby Knight had such a reputation of being a jerk to people, secretaries included - yet you never heard anything about him having a problem with alcohol. The secretary was able to work for Knight but throws in the towel with Gillespie. It makes my head hurt.
I post on here drunk all the time and I'm not mean

Back to Gillespie...shouldn't the agreement between Tech and Beard be made public through the university?
On a personal note, I know why Beard got along so well with Pat and Bobby...he wasn't much different than them. Not the most "friendly" guy at the Tech position and team camps.
