Managing expectations is the name of the game.

I expect for a team with no seniors and made up of primarily sophomores to be better by the end of this year than last year but I expect there will often be two steps forward and once step back.

I expected this year's football defense to be better than last years but if you had told me they would suffer 4 ACL injuries, I wouldn't have expected them to play as well as they have the last few weeks. I didn't expect them to go from awful to great in one year.

I never expect to win a NC in football, no matter how much we are touted by the talking heads. There are just too many things that can go wrong to expect those kind of outcomes.
Let's see, last year the team wasn't expected to be too good because they were only freshmen, this year because they are only sophs, next year they will only be juniors. Oh, but wait, that 5'3" girl will change things next year when she comes in and starts at the post. My bad, that will still be the all world Mandy Simpson. I guess the pumpers are right, it is definitely going in the right direction.

When you win and only have fourteen turnovers in the game, especially after having 31 in the previous game, you barely notice that we had turnovers on our first three possessions, falling behind 6-0 at 8:27. We were back and forth until the media time out at 4:22, still behind 12-7.

LSU took another time out at 3:22 when Ana hit a three to tie it at 14. They took at 16-14 lead. Then, Taylor hit a three on a breakaway at 2:19 to give OU a 17-16 lead. LSU didn't score the rest of the quarter. Gabby had two fouls, both on charges for two of our turnovers. But, I think we had only five in the quarter.
