Need you to sign up/sign back in and get this board hoping again. Kruger and the boys have made OU basketball fun again. Tell your friends. Tell your mom.

Bandwagon fans wear me out. I kind of hope they stay away since things are going good!

I don't believe BT is talking about the bandwagon fans who have been noticeably absent since OU went on a winning streak several weeks ago. His invitation is to some of the old gang who used to post here when this site had the best OU basketball forum on the Net.

There's a huge list of great posters who were regulars here the first three years who haven't been around much lately, if at all. I, too, would like to see that change.

OU BBall needs bandwagon fans and a lot of them. The boys deserve them in fact.

Those aren't the fans that are going to games though. Those are the guys that will show up to this board on game day, or start talking trash about how good OU is on Facebook or something. Meh.

That's clearly not true, though. It's obvious that the fans are showing up in greater numbers now that we are good again, and I don't blame them for not coming when we were pitiful.

I love the diehards who are at every game, but I'll never begrudge any fan at an OU game whether it is that person's first game or hundredth game.

Hi, I'm a long-time lurker, former member of the student section. Love the Sooners and try to watch or listen to the games when I can (which is harder these days since I'm not in Oklahoma), but I guess I don't usually feel like I have much worthwhile to contribute to the discussion. I enjoy reading the posts of people who know a lot more than I do about basketball, though! Especially when there's a big win to celebrate! :woot

Glad to have you here celebrating. Post as much as you want. Most of us aren't as smart as we try to sound anyway. ;)

I feel similar. I check this board daily and have for a while now. Usually, but not always, someone else posts something that is similar to my thoughts. Kinda redundant to post after that. Also, a pissing match flares up every now and then and I am left thinking "get a room you two".
It was a good win! Kruger has it going.

I assume you are referring to ones that haven't been to this site in a while. I come here every day, but don't always post (e.g. lurker). I should post more.

I love OU basketball!!!!

Dang, there are multiple studies on the topic of "lurkers." Here are just a few ...

http://citeseer.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc...047AC9E7?doi=10.1.1.83.9346&rep=rep1&type=pdf

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lurker#Why_people_lurk

http://aisel.aisnet.org/cais/vol18/iss1/16/

What we really need is more ...
De-lurking ... When lurkers decide to participate more actively in the community, they “de-lurk,” which Rafaeli, Ravid, and Soroka define as: “...transfer from passive participation (only visiting the forum to read) to active participation (actively posting opinions and thoughts on the forum)”.
Apparently, you can earn a doctorate by studying such insignificant issues like this.

I'm trying to be more of a regular, but just as my attendance at the LNC has been effected negatively by "life", so has my presence on the board.

I'll say this, though. It's great to have OU basketball back!
