March Madness Sunday Games

Rutgers 2 points in the last 4:55 I think, went to early into a stall

Playing "not to lose" is seldom an effective strategy. Gotta love how Houston fought back. Kelvin has his detractors, but he has always been a great coach.

That UH game felt like a lot of Kelvin's OU games. Intense and tight to the very end. Good win for them considering they didn't play well at all, and their main play maker was way less than 100% healthy. Cuse won't be any easier for them in the next round.

Oral Roberts and Florida is close at the end of that one. ORU up by 1

The last time Kelvin played against Boeheim, I was in attendance. We just couldn't figure out that zone defense...and trying to guard Carmelo Anthony was a bit of a challenge. The good news here is that unlike 2003, Kelvin will have more than one full day to figure that zone out. Since i predicted Houston would not get tested prior to the Elite Eight, I'll keep quiet on any more predictions.

So one Oklahoma team is in the Sweet 16. The one everyone expected in ORU right?

ORU is about to win this.

I think they're only the second #15 seed to ever play in the Sweet 16. Congrats to the Golden Eagles!

I know it's a longshot for OU to win tomorrow, but how would that look for the state of Oklahoma if three of the sixteen remaining schools in the Dance are from the Sooner State!? Without looking it up, I'm certain that has never happened before.

We came up just short in 2000 thanks to a Purdue upset.

ORU is fun to watch. You know 2 guys are going to be most of the offense, and they are still hard to stop.

Almost happened in 2000. Tulsa was led by some nobody coach named Bill Self. Tulsa and OSU went to the Regional Finals. OU lost a close game to Purdue or they would have been in the Sweet 16. Tulsa usually won at least one NCAA Tournament in the mid to late 90s-early 00s.

It would be beyond funny if ORU were to win the whole thing.

lot of games with teams wearing same colors today....UH, Rut; Tech, Ark; OSU, OSU....

He played well, but he’s had a bad season.

Third on the team in scoring, third in rebounds (just .3 per game behind Harmon), second on the team in blocks, second on the team in shooting from behind the line. And he had a health condition that very much impacted his play for a prolonged stretch.

I'd love him to come back and have another "bad season" next year.

People for some reason expect Manek to be more than what he is. I do get being pissed at some of the stretches where he misses open 3s.

That region completely fell apart. Up yours, Brian Cardinal.

Sweet 16:
8 Wisconsin
4 LSU

6 Purdue
10 Gonzaga

Elite 8:
8 Wisconsin
6 Purdue

Had we defeated Purdue, it would've been just like 2015 where we only needed our whites for the trip. Alas.

Watching that Rutgers/Houston game gave me cold sweats. Rutgers went into the prevent way too early. I feel like we Sooner fans watched Kelvin lose a ton of games like that over the years. Dribbling at the top of the key forever and ever.

2nd. Florida gulf costal

Oregon State is handling Oklahoma State right now.

Looks like we gotta upset Zaga to make it 2 Oklahoma teams unless OSU can come back. Down 15 right now.
