Marcus Smart is a flopping piece of dirt

Hope they review his dead ball flagrant foul on Buddy. He should be suspended a half...he flopped like a mofo right after as well.

Can we get a gif of that?

I've heard the Bucks are going to take him. Which, well, makes sense. They are the Bucks.

I've read and heard the same thing. But then again, the Bucks aren't known for their front office "prowess".

At what point does Ford finally stand up to him....and tell him to cut the s--- and the theatrics out....and just play ball?

He has no credibility to do that. You can't tell your players to cut the theatrics when you're flopping around like a fool on the sidelines.

It only takes you disgruntling one player to get David Stanley'd out of a job when you're buying talent by the briefcase.

Between Ford and Scott Drew I guarantee there's gonna be at least one "show cause" penalty handed out in this conference in the next five years.

He routinely elbows the defender on his drive the officials keep calling it a defensive foul. Cousins was upset when he fouled out because Smart elbowed him.

For me the truth about Smart is this: he is a good college player and a very heady player, but he is no where close to a great college player. Just think back to some of the great players to come through this conference in recent years: Beasley, Durant, Griffin, etc. Smart is no where near that level. Now, I can see a scenario where he could grow into a great NBA player in the mold of Jason Kidd, but I think it's much more likely he will be a backup In the NBA. If a team drafts him higher than say 20th they are taking on too much risk with the selection. This is a very similar situation to Willie Warren. People used to gush about how great WW was all the time, but it rarely actually happened on the court. Both players are/were 80% hype.

Fair point, but WW didn't receive 1/10th the hype that Smart has.

Let's wait til Marcus Smart gets some actual coaching applied to him before we judge his skill level and ceiling. His babysitter in the small suit and orange tie isn't exactly the crucible of dynamic player growth.

Good point

Smart could've been T'd for nearly shooting another FT after a miss late in the game. He should've been T'd for the elbow. Just another in a long line of Aggie losers.

I thought it was pretty clear that Smart was giving the ball to the official. He did the shooting motion but he wasn't shooting it.

He was pretty pathetic last night. Took some real bad shots and flopped on more than one occasion. Be a man.

But I won't take notice of Smart again until we visit Stillwater, while a bunch of you will continue to get all huffy and puffy every time he does it against other Big XII opponents. ;)

Tough to call a deadball foul on Smart there, nothing conclusive that Hield's contact didn't cause the motion (even though I think Smart threw it on purpose).

OU shot 20 more free throws than OSU last night, not much for us to complain about in that regard.

Smart was soooo good ESPN had a camera on him while he was on the BENCH! According to Musberger, we were lucky Smart let us play!

I've seen people ejected for less and I hope the league does look at that play this week.
