Marques Bolden recruiting tidbits

SoonerScoop staffer Joe DuVall just posted in the past 5 minutes that in spite of the rumors, Marques Bolden is not visiting OU this weekend.

He also mentioned Trae Young scoring 48 last night in a big win over Mustang, will be at the game again. He also said the "whisper" is OU now leads for Young. Who knows......

If we landed Young, that would make our 2017-2018 roster look something like this:

PG - Young/Strong
SG - James/Grandstaff
OG - McGusty/Odomes
PF - Buford/Freeman/Doolittle/Manek
C - Lattin/McNeace

With one scholarship available, hopefully for a true center type.

That is an embarrassment of riches at the guard positions. Might be the best group of guards, on paper, (recruiting rankings) that OU has ever had.

Anything new on the Bolden front?

There was a high school basketball game on TV today. One of the analysts covering the game said he spoke with Bolden recently. He said that Bolden was focused on three schools -- I think they were Duke, Kentucky and Kansas. No mention of Oklahoma.

Don't really know if that means anything, but we'll see.
