I know we usually switch everything so match ups don't matter as much but against A&M we started out not switching because of their size. We eventually went back to switching everything and we killed it.
I'm just wondering with their front court being smaller how we will handle this.
My biggest matchup is I would say allow buddy to guard Dorsey because I would rather him be on a 3 point shooter then one who drives to the rack. Less chance of a foul.
I think Spangler on brooks is exactly what Spangler needs. Spangler bangs with way bigger guys for boards then Brooks and wins so hopefully It's a matchup Spangler will take advantage of on the boards and offensively.
Boucher and Lattin seems to be the most obvious matchup. I think Lattin matches up really well with him but Boucher does have some handles so Lattin will have to be ready to move his feet.
Cousins I think has to be the primary defender against Cook. I think his toughness and intensity will be good against him.
Finally if Woodard guards benson that would be best not only because of size but because it doesn't seem to be a tall task defensively with Benson not being a big threat.
On paper I love our matchup...just know their athleticism could become an issue. If our guys block out and protect the paint we have a real shot.
What do you guys think?
