I think the Nick Thompson days are in the past.

Based on everything I have seen and heard, including comments from the coaches at Tip In Club functions, it appears that the recruitment of 2013 JUCO and high school players is done.

The coaches will look at potential D-1 transfers when they figure out who is available, and who is interested in OU.

Are you sure the Canary Islands don't have a couple of hidden gems?? Sorry, just teasing. Just get a good chuckle at some of Capel's moves.

It did help to have a very broad sense of humor towards the end of that era.

Yep. It would be nice to get another Osby via the transfer route. Keep building the roster for the future.

I know coach likes to have 15 bodies so that we can have 3 teams of 5 in practice. With 13 players on the team right now (11 scholarship, 2 walk-ons) I wouldn't be surprised to see coach land a transfer and maybe add another walk-on. Thoughts?

I have faith this coaching staff can win with the talent we have. You can never convince me that FGCU, Wichita State, Creighton, etc., have more talent than us. They are fundamentally sound well coached teams.

I agree that OU will be a sound if not spectacular team in 2014. I think OU can make the NCAA because I believe the league will be down a bit from 2013.

The Canary Islands actually has a big time prep school for Euro/African prospects, it's called Canarias Academy. They play a ton of games stateside during the year against other elite prep schools.
