Why do we still have yaya keita? pm wants to be fired lol
The hard part about that is we don't know enough about what OU has to offer/play with, what kids are even interested in OU (we may have reached out and been shot down), and what other schools and players landing elsewhere are getting.I thought about writing this long ass comment/breakdown on who I'd look into if I were Moser/staff but then, why? What's the damn point? Obviously, I'm not qualified to build a college basketball roster and I don't think this staff would take any advice even if it's good advice anyway. For example: I'd take the Brycen Goodine kid over Elvis and it's not really that close. I'm sure they have eyes on this board. None of them have gotten more engaging on social media. There is no NIL push. Nothing. Status quo. Hey, Moser will get paid anyway. We are the ones who will suffer.
I know you’re trying to be funny but Grand Canyon is a substantial bag dropper.<obligatory> Sure wish we could compete with Grand Canyon's NIL. Fire Joe C! </obligatory>
Agreed. I think we could probably hypothesize some things but not nearly enough. Like we should be able to identify "cheap" players but yeah, like you said, we don't always know who's recruiting a kid, if they want to be closer to home, or a multitude of other factors. The hard part about that is we don't know enough about what OU has to offer/play with, what kids are even interested in OU (we may have reached out and been shot down), and what other schools and players landing elsewhere are getting.
We can speculate that Player A would be nice. Maybe Player A wants more NIL than we can offer. Maybe not. Maybe he doesn't like Moser, our system, or our results. Maybe he doesn't care. Maybe he wants to be in a certain conference or part of the country. Just too many variables to know who realistic options would be. I think that is what makes this process so maddening.
This past season has made me very pessimistic about OU basketball. I’ve complained about the obstacles facing the program with NIL, donor support, admin support, fan support. However, I think all of that is exacerbated by porter moser not being the right coach for OU. I just don’t think he’s good enough and he’s not a good fit for OU.The hard part about that is we don't know enough about what OU has to offer/play with, what kids are even interested in OU (we may have reached out and been shot down), and what other schools and players landing elsewhere are getting.

This is the key. If we had been to 2-3 NCAAs and made some noise under Moser, does anyone really think we'd have the same portal issues? We can speculate that Player A would be nice. Haha, whatever you say. Personal attacks shouldn't be necessary, but here you are.In the running for dumbest post of the day. Impressive 7:20am
I wish there was a way of knowing whether Joe is viewing next season as tourney-or-bust for Moser. As someone noted yesterday, the absolute worst thing that could come out of next year would be if we again end up just outside the field, and Joe decides that is "good enough" to keep him around for yet another year. It would be better to finish under .500 if that's what it would take for Joe to make the move. This past season has made me very pessimistic about OU basketball. IF we could hire the right coach, some of that other stuff would fall more in line. We definitely need a new arena. We definitely need fans to show up more. We definitely need more NIL although I’ve heard it’s not as bad as we think. I have little faith moser will get enough talent to make the tourney and he will be fired next Season. We’ve made a great offer to garrison and pedulla and if moser still can’t close the deal, that’s a moser problem. We can’t miss on the next coach or the program will be set back another 10 years. We have to get it right.
Unfortunately, next season is shaping up to be total disaster, depending on the portal.
They have a PG who doesn’t care at all about scoring. That won’t be a problem.Kansas is gonna be nasty if they can share the ball
Lol coolBetween soonerbounce completely ignorant takes on everything and the debate on how much money would it take to leave your family…
This board has been insufferable lately. We need some good news.
I am glad Sooners will not be facing Jayhawks anymoreJesus I hate KU... They are loaded.

Who is OU actually favored for now, from the Portal? Not a damn person. Pedulla trending away, Garrison, as well.
Not one portal prospect is trending towards OU.
I might have had some hyperbole in my post, but the players OU will be getting from the Portal will likely not be difference makers or people to make a difference in the SEC.
They were everyone’s preseason #1 last year too.I am glad Sooners will not be facing Jayhawks anymore
Top 3 program. Respect but can’t stand themThey were everyone’s preseason #1 last year too.
Kansas, Duke and Purdue lead preseason AP Top 25 poll
