MBB Transfer Portal Thread: Moser Year 4

If you’d keep up. We are the leaders for garrison and Pedulla is 50/50.

Bringing in 2 guards that could commit this weekend.

Yeah no difference makers out there. Soares and Jalon Moore just sucked and I’d guess they came around may1?
We are the leaders for Garrison. Or not. Pedulla is a lock. Or not.

Sure, maybe we will get lucky and find two guys like Waldo and Moore. If so, maybe we can be "first four out" again!

I said what I said. Storr told Ku $1mil. Ku said $750k and he said no thanks…

Guess what they landed him.

Things change.

As you say. There is ignore button use it.

Here’s a way to look at it. I’m sure Porter knows this is his last season if we aren’t good enough to make the tourney again. He should also know at this point what type of players it takes in big boy conference ball. So if he’s willing to prioritize someone like Elvis to be one of his starters, then he obviously must feel way differently than most here, or it’s all he can get.

Either way, he’s either going to end up being right and we end up having a good season and make the tourney, or he’s going to lose this job and probably not be a top candidate for any other job he may want. Which most seem to want to happen anyway.

At least, this is what I’m trying to convince myself of so I won’t be too pissed with the haul we get.

Moore is still
Here. You add another. That makes you better.
That’s a huge if, and it still doesn’t account for losing all five of our rotational guards. And again, Waldo was far and away our best and most efficient player. Finding another guy like that would damn near require a miracle.

I'm trying to not be a mean and vengeful person but if porter makes us miss another tourney and then gets fired, i hope he is relegated to like D-2 or NAIA lol

Im not going back to look but we all know the answer… he and Moore weren’t good enough according to their stats last year…from their previous schools.

Because you know more than anyone players don’t get better as they get older or a different situation

Haha, wasn't Pedulla like, 90/10 5 days ago? Hence trending away.

I still don't know about Garrison and OU. We shall see.

And I haven't seen much about these 2 guards, since the info is buried among 15 pages of stuff on here about NIL money and players not coming here. So that's my bad.

He was. Things change. See post above.

We know you don’t know. That’s proven when you show up.

You guys' arguement(s) aside, you bring up another talking point.

I would probably try and tap that well again. Players from the high level who need more opportunity. I mean, obviously, Moore and/or Waldo were OU's best players last year.

That feels much smarter than "okay-ish" mid-major kids. Seemingly, one stock has a chance to appreciate while the other is more likely to depreciate. IDK, not a perfect science or whatever.

The inability to debate without snark, condescension, and personal attacks is what this time of year is all about! I can’t believe everyone hates each other this much. It’s like watching your favorite soap opera.🍿

Are you suggesting looking at the 4th or 5th options on teams, P5 schools, that are JRs (maybe SOs) needing a breakout year and still behind in some role or fashion?

Agree 100%.

You keep pointing to those two. They are the only two we have really hit on. Our other transfers have either been role players or starters who played bigger roles than they should have out of necessity. We don’t need role players or bench guys. We need damn near an entire starting lineup, and at least one of them needs to be an absolute difference maker. Despite getting both those guys last year, Moser still couldn’t lead that team to the tournament. So yea, I think there is every reason to be concerned that we have no one in the boat in the second half of April while other teams are getting commitments left and right.

It's really just 3 very vocal posters that send the tone around here
I think Moser may have stolen a few posters girls on here. Only way it can be so personal. Sad that a few hate Moser so much that they seem to be rooting for us to not get players. Not making the tourney three years in a row is unacceptable, we all can agree on that. I choose to see how it plays out and root for us to turn it around. However, I am losing interest in college basketball in general. Hard to be a fan when rosters change every year.
