I get it he feels slighted but a visit and sitting down and saying "hey we fucced up", because now I feel like Kansas visit was a ploy to get griffen to commit. Ole Miss feels like they want pop and small is a backup option. USC gf goes to but do they have anything to spend? Miami probably has the most to spend now after losing two players yesterday. idk just me talking because I like the kid and think theirs an open hearted pitch of we screwed up (even though idk if porter would swallow his pride), come run the point, we will bring Elvis off the bench as the 6 man and get the ball out of your hand to run as a 2 some to score and show your full game, we wont surround you with freshman like OSU did so you'll be with guys who've played ball. again just rambling over here lol.

I don’t disagree, hence why I think guys like Williams will probably get over 7-figures TBH.

But again the rosters sizes are so different, a guy like Williams is a great add at a position of relative scarcity but also probably doesn’t justify 20% of OU’s FB NIL budget. At the end of the day I think it’s ultimately extremely wealthy people who love alma mater and can afford to light their money on fire.

If this is true, I am fine with it.

Whether we had discipline or simply couldn’t pay $500K, better to move on.

Also, Pedulla is not from Oklahoma originally, I believe his family is from New York, so he had no real connection to OU, other than a few years of proximity to campus.

Funniest part of the morning on the OU "beat" is seeing Bob P write that their initial strategy was "bold" and showed "loyalty" to Oklahoma kids.

That's the stupidest thing I've ever read. Porter Moser has to know his head is on the chopping block but he's valuing "loyalty" over "winning?" If this is true they should fire him right now. I just can't with this guy.

Not only that, but how does loyalty even come into play? Ok, the kids have ties to the state, but not to the program. So what have they done to merit "loyalty" from OU/Moser? I hope this was just an idiotic Bob P tweet, but as others have pointed out, most the info the beat guys/Moser mouthpieces get comes from sources inside the program.

Exactly, there's no loyalty, especially in these days of the highest bidder getting the best players.

No access, and no media members willing to ask any tough questions even when they do speak with him. Honestly, if not for the work of SB and TEvans, there would be almost no way of knowing who we are even considering (they have the info before guys like Bob P and Brody).

I don't know...but that doesn't really mean anything.
Saying it was "bold" and showed "loyalty" could be Bob's spin on it...it doesn't necessarily mean that came from OU.
Also, "loyalty" could just mean they thought their best chance of landing someone with the budget we have is to recruit kids with ties to the area. i.e. $400k plus staying home vs $500k and moving across the states. Brand it loyalty or whatever you want..
