Saw a college football writer tweet something yesterday that I found interesting. It said that this offseason, the most coveted position in the portal (I think D tackle) is commanding around $800k for the top guys. Given that football is far and way more lucrative than hoops, it makes me think some of the numbers we have seen thrown around for guys like Pedulla are wildly inflated.

no it just comes down to simple numbers 85 scholarship athletes .. plus some PWO getting NIL ..

vs 13 players .. and really just the top 5 or 6 getting big NIL dollars ..

Saying it was "bold" and showed "loyalty" could be Bob's spin on it...it doesn't necessarily mean that came from OU.
Also, "loyalty" could just mean they thought their best chance of landing someone with the budget we have is to recruit kids with ties to the area. i.e. $400k plus staying home vs $500k and moving across the states. Brand it loyalty or whatever you want..

It’s hard to think things will get crazier than this year. I think the pendulum will swing back to sanity next year. Hopefully so, because OU’s new coach will have a serious uphill battle

That's how I read it. I don't think Bob talked to anyone on staff. It was an opinion piece.

Suffered a knee (re)injury early on. Redshirted. Assuming he's full-go, he's definitely worth looking into for OU. Has some star potential IMO....or at the very least, he'd be a valuable piece for a team needing 4 more players.

New member here. Active on 24/7. I seem to agree with most on here that we have a PM problem more than anything else. Also don’t know if this has been discussed but why aren’t we going after J Small from OSU? Do he and Garrison get along? Packaged deal?

Small wouldn’t be a good fit for OU. He likes to play fast and is very good in transition. Great athlete but I can’t see him playing in Porter’s offense.
