MBB Transfer Portal Thread: Moser Year 4

As last season showed, it's hard to predict how guys will pan out, but the three guys we have so far don't even crack the top 160 on The Athletic's list. Unless we get at least one true difference maker for the two remaining spots, I think we are losing more than we are gaining. And that is even more true when you factor in losing Waldo and Dart and not likely getting much, if anything, from one or both incoming freshmen. We MUST get a big-time scorer at guard -- if that comes in the form of a PG, even better. As much as I like Moore, he isn't a guy you can simply hand the ball to and expect to score 16+ per game. We need a difference maker, and it will need to be a guard.

Very much this.

We are banking on big leaps from Cooper/Cole/Northweather and production from Forsythe.

Moore will be the same, if not a tad better. Soares is a big hole to fill. Uzan, is a hole to fill, regardless of what we thought of his late year playing was like. Oweh, well, his defense and athleticism will be missed. Same with Darthards defense and late season 3 point shooting.

I don't think we have upgraded in talent, just 3pt shooting (Jones hopefully lives up to his defensive hype)

Getting a true playmaker and a big is make or break for this team...IMO

Unfortunately, it seems like OSU is still very much in play. OSU is working with more NIL money this year with the new coach. The longer his recruitment drags on, the better it is for OSU, but recruiting nowadays can change in a heartbeat.

They’re very likely getting Cisse, despite what Lutz tries to sell, gonna be hard to get both.

We cant just know for sure that Moore will either improve or be the same tho too. He could just as easily have a regression ala Uzan this year.. I sure hope not tho! We need him to go off and be a monster.
