MBB Transfer Portal Thread: Moser Year 4

I don't want to rain on the parade, but chasing Robinson is an odd choice given we have zero point guards committed or on the roster.

I guess it's possible we want to add Robinson & a PG with no big man? Or the more likely scenario is they see Elvis as the starting PG. That's a really bad idea, imo.

Highly unlikely we make any headway with Robinson, so probably does not matter.

if Cole is really 6'9 / 6'10 now ... (who knows)

he might be the back up 4 man ..

with Atak at the 3

and Godwin / Northweather/ keita at the 5
Gosh…Godwin/Norweather/Keita at the 5. Man that is bottom of the league in the SEC if that’s what we’re stuck with. As always IMO

Or Elvis could be the backup at both the 1 and 2. Assuming we sign a true lead guard, that is.
True. That would be most ideal to me. 6th man backing up two spots.

I assume OU will try to find a lead guard and then the 2 will come down to Goodine and Elvis in practice. Too early to actually call right now. Doesn't stop us from predicting, obviously.

You're going to have to be more specific. There are several a**holes on here. :)

Doing my best @TEvans4Three impersonation here. Sure looks like a theme in what we're targeting in the portal to me. Also, threw in those Assist to TO ratios because of how bad TOs have been under Moser. Catch and Shoot numbers came from College Basketball Scouting's videos so didn't have anything for Le'Tre or Rivaldo

It absolutely feels like we have gone from last year’s focus of adding athleticism to this year’s focus on shooting. Of course, good teams have both, and unless something changes with our final two signings, we will be significantly downgrading our athletic ability. Like others have said, it feels like four years in, he is still all over the place when it comes to what he thinks is required to win at the power conference level.

We simply cannot have Godwin as a starter next year if we want to make the dance. I’m confident the coaching staff understands this too. Whether they can buy a better big man is TBD.
I don’t necessarily agree with this because it almost just happened, but I do obviously think an upgrade at center would be a tremendous help.
