MBB Transfer Portal Thread: Moser Year 4

St. Johns. Richmond is from Brooklyn.
Thanks. That may be a tough battle to win. It seems like St. John's hasn't hit on as many guys as they expected this offseason, so they are likely in desperation mode, too. I'm sure they have plenty of money to spend on him.

I will say, it's still incredibly important that we get Richmond or another true stud. I have been looking at all sorts of sites this morning that rank portal players and I don't find Miles listed in the top 50 or 60. I'm excited we got him, I promise. But I am not sure, given the jump in level, that he will be a big upgrade over Los and JM. We have hit a couple singles and I would consider this a double, but we need a big fly to really move the scoreboard.

Re: Richmond -- who do we think the main competition is at this point?
I agree here. Miles is a great get but the work is definitely not over. It’s slowly coming together.

Moser's in-state plan sucked and failed terribly.

And, dependent on Richmond/BIG, OU will likely end up better because of that fail.

I liked Pedulla. Overton was meh-ish but had 3 years to play....thought that was a nice bonus. Garrison, yeah, of course....OU needed a better center.

If OU can find a decent BIG and land Richmond, that's much, much better than the in-state plan. JMO.

How did I forget to post this? Oops

Jalon Moore liked his commitment post...

Miles can SHOOT the ball and do so very consistently. His percentages aren't erratic over the entire season like Oweh and McCollum.
Oweh is a bad perimeter shooter. Really bad. I don’t know that JM’s game log from the previous season, playing at a low major, is all that different than Miles’. Miles doesn’t attempt a ton of threes. He has had one season where he shot a fantastic percentage, one where he was slightly above average, and two where he was bad. If he can shoot 37 percent or so in the SEC, that’ll be a big upgrade for us.

Miles is a superior player to little baby Javian.

And I liked Javian. Good dude, but a bricklayer who had no chance to defend at the power 6 level.
