They were both sophomores this year. Sneed averaged 11.1 pts, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.8 assists. McGusty averaged 8.0, 1.9 and 0.3. Sneed did play more minutes than McGusty.
They were similar percentages in shooting with McGusty slightly better at 2's and free throw but Sneed a little better at 3. None of them were significantly better.
Sneed was an absolute ferocious defender though and McGusty couldn't guard his own mom.
I believe Kam has talent and wish he would have stayed but it isn't like we lost a superstar.
Lindy Waters at OSU has the same offensive stats and is also a much better defender. LK should have recruited him instead of McGusty although nobody though Waters was the better player at the time.
