"The final chapter of my basketball career has been written. After many months of thoughts and prayers I'm sad to say my body physically can't last long enough to finish my senior season on the court. I love my teammates and am so grateful for their support. I'm sad it's over, but thankful for the many lessons I've learned. Thank you University of Oklahoma for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime to be a Sooner. #boomer"

Sad to hear this. It's very unfortunate that she had nagging injuries that kept her from reaching her potential. I wish her the best of luck in her non-basketball future. Thank you, McKenna!

Wish her the best. Always thought she gave 100% all the time when on the court.

this explains a lot why she could never really get going while on the team... Wishing her the best...

Thank you McKenna for your hard work and dedication.

So, now we have another roster spot open.

Who fills it -- immediately or what? Transfer or recruit?

Thank you McKenna for your contributions to your team-mates. God's blessings on your future endeavors.

Sherri mentioned it at the postseason banquet, and that Treece will be on one of those scholarships next year that are allowed when a player has to retire for physical reasons.

Too bad. Two years ago i was very impressed with her. She was tough inside and was able to also play behind the arc. I never really heard why she didn't really play last year but I guess I know now. Her talent will be missed. I wish her the best of luck.

She is pictured on the 2017-2018 roster on Soonersports.com. Maybe Coale talked her into playing because of the numbers crisis.
