I've been a McNease fan since I got to attend a Sooner practice over the holidays a couple of years ago. I predicted then that he was going to be a solid contributor at some point, and I'm so pleased to see that he's coming into his own now.

He was terrific tonight. Loved the hook shots and those athletic dunks. He's undeniably on the rise, and it's going to be great fun to watch him.

He seems to be figuring out what he is good at and working hard on it. Now he needs to spend some time with Lattin and get that FT% up.

JMuni McHook and the JMuni McDunk! Kid can plain jump outta the gym! I'll admit I could never see what the coaches saw, but I'm glad they invested in him it is really paying off... I thought he and Lattin both brought energy last night in different ways. 22 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks coming out of the 5 Spot last night!

If they could combine to do that every night or close to it we will win or be in every game from here on out! Lattin has played way better even though his stats aren't great still!

Agreed. He was huge. I've been pretty surprised by his progress but I've always seen how athletic the guy is. I just wasn't sure he'd ever really put it together. His jump hook is deadly. Once he gets another offensive move or two -- which, considering how little basketball he's really played, is easy to see happening -- he's going to be very good. He could end up being an all-Big 12 guy by his senior year.

Yeah, i agree. would take that all day every day! I def think Lattin has struggled, but in the past few he has been a spark for us when we needed him to be.

I think the coaches saw a 6-10 guy who can jump out of the gym!

I really like McNeace's offensive game. I wish his defense was a little better. He gets pushed around because of his lack of bulk, and can get out of position a lot. Overall, he's 100% improved from last year. I agree with what Fran said last night: he can play basketball professionally somewhere by the time he graduates. Especially if he keeps improving every year.

Fran has always been a big fan of his as he likes to speak highly of him.

In spite of his free throw performance, McNeace has a good touch. I would like to see him be quicker with his shot rather than back in and give others time to knock the ball away or double him.

Kruger is pretty predictable. Early in the season several relegated McNeace to mop up duty. I disagreed, primarily because Kruger used him in crunch time, and even second half cruch time, last year. He doesn't do that with players he sees as mopup candidates.

Now concerned with depth. Only 7 played 10 minutes or more in a very grueling game last night. Need at least 8, hopefully 9.

Point guard a concern. Hasn't used Shepherd the last two games and Strong-Moore was in the center of the second half melt down that left us 15 points down.
