if true, than likely true Joe C knew/felt Lon was going to step down once season was over. Only explanation for taking this long to fill the Women's job because cannot imagine all the top candidates said no to Joe C.

Pure speculation on my part but Joe C's obvious focus on selecting a MBB coach more so than a WBB coach results in the question worth asking were the top WBB candidates given an opportunity to say no to say no to the OU job? Or did the sign elsewhere before Joe C. contacted them on the surface neither Washington or Auburn would appear to be better jobs than OU.
