With Caple no longer running the program...Does anyone other then me want to see some sort of midnight madness?

I'd rather have a scrimmage or something before a football game. You'd already have people on campus, maybe boy and girls togther, just show off and introduce the squads, etc. Woudln't matter to me if it was a week or two into practice; just a nice way to show off the squads.

yes, something before a football game would be cool. i'm not one of those "move the hoops games to the Fieldhouse" guys, but having an open session at the Fieldhouse given its proximity to Campus Corner and Owen Field would be a lot of fun.

Agreed. They did this a couple years ago before Blake's sophomore year (I think) the day of a Nebraska night football game and had a really nice crowd in there.

I suspect the first day of practice (October 14th, a Friday) possibly could have incentives (raffles, food, or something) to encourage fans to show up. Also probably schedule it a 7 or so, enough time for people to get off work and for students to be out of class. It seems like the natural thing to do.

I doubt there will be any big pageantry for it, as OU doesn't have a big enough fan base to pull it off.

I hope they do a scrimmage again, the problem is they have to compete with Volleyball for the field house and they often try to piggie back off football games as well. Plus since the times for football games aren't often set until a week or two before that is also a scheduling issue.

Something like that would be nice.

I remember watching OU with Blake right before the Nebraska game at the fieldhouse and it was a lot of fun.

Not all the hokey stuff, just let LK introduce the kids and let them do some drills and then play a little with an autograph session afterwards.

They could have a table set up to sell season/single game tickets, I bet they could sell some.

They should include the women's team. I would like to see them scrimmage a jv boys team.
