Missouri @ OU Score Predictions

some actual numbers...

Norm vs. OU in the 70s: 13-11
Norm vs. OU in the 80s: 12-14
Norm vs. OU in the 90s: 10-10

MU vs. OU in the 2000s: 6-7 (4-6 for Quin, 2-1 for Anderson)

MU vs. OU in the 2010s: 2-0 (Anderson 3-1 overall, Haith 1-0 so far)

Looks to me like there's been an equal amount of ass handing going on between the two teams.

I remember all of those things (it's Paige Laurie, though; the Kroenke family has never been an embarrassment). I don't see why they're important today, though. Odd that you'd want to bring that stuff up out of nowhere in the same thread you want to call me unclassy simply for pointing out the score from our first meeting this year.

You know why I called you unclassy, bro, because the shoe fits. You don't go to an opponent's message board and post that kind of stuff and expect not to be called classless.

The 80's and 90's series record don't really paint the picture to how dominant OU was in both decades. MU had Stipo and Sundvold and from 80-82 dominated OU. From 83 - 89, OU won way more than they lost. 12 of the final 17 of the decade including 10 of 12 were won by the Sooners. Early 90's OU's program hits a skid, Sampson is brought in and OU won 9 in a row at the end of the decade and the beginning of the 2000's including a win to clinch a final 4 trip. BTW, how many final 4's has Mizzou played in? I'll take that answer off the air.

You, your university administration, and your fanbase is nothing but a bunch of clowns. The Mizzou fans I work with never get their hopes up about anything because they are used to getting their asses handed to them in everything. Nobody can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory like Mizzou. I'm sure Mizzou will lose a few games they shouldn't and end up in 2nd place to the squawks. It's typical for a loser program like Mizzou.

"That kind of stuff" being the score from the most recent game between the two teams? Seems relevant, which is why every single article previewing the game has brought it up.

I've posted here for about three years. Three pretty bad years for OU basketball. During that same span, Mizzou has won about 70 games and is looking like a 1-2 seed this March. If I wanted to be classless, I'd have more than enough fodder to do so. But I've barely broached the subject. You're reading far too much into the post than you should.

I'm sorry you feel that way about Mizzou. Really breaks my heart.

Probably not as much as losing your coach to a program he knows will have a racist element to it based on how Nolan was treated. That has to tell you how bad it is in Columbia. Sucks to be you.

Anderson got paid $2.2 million to return to the place he called home for almost 20 years ($2.2 million MU wouldn't match, by the way). If you want to take that as a sign that Columbia's an awful place to live or work, that's certainly up to you. Few would see it that way, though.

I'll take 21-2 any day.

This is a game we have to win at this point. I just don't think we have the guards to make it happen.

Missouri 71-60

Noboby really had this on picked correctly. But I guess you were the closest.

Mizzou is not nearly as good as Sawyer believes. They will get a 2-3 seed in the tourney and go no further than the sweet 16 and this is the best season they have to look forward to in the foreseeable future. Kansas is going to give them a beat down in Lawrence from what I saw in the game in Columbia.

Edit: And I actually believe OU has a good chance to be better than Mizzou as early as next year ( I realize different conferences). OU has the superior coach and IMO it isn't close.
