The class of 2009 is where the recruiting 1st started to take a slump, then there was alot of 2010 kids who took official visits to OU ( richa jackson, Cassie Herberts, Lindsay Sherbert, Jeanne kenney, Alexis Burke) OU came in 2nd on all these players. Things are definitely look up again now thought, to not make her top 15 early on and then still work our way back in to get a unofficial visit is great.. a Job well done to the stuff.

Hopefully, Sherri can parlay the commitments from Dungee, Mulkey, and Llanusa into the best recruiting we have seen at OU. A few days ago, I would have said we virtually have no chance to sign Cox but today, I think our chances are at least decent. If Sherri can get a commitment from one more top 20 player, I think that even improves our chances with Cox as great players want to play for championships.
Here is a really good player who attends the same school as Brooke Alexander. She is likely a player who is known to Cox as well.

I had thought that if OU got Mulkey, it would be because we had a commitment from Cox. I don't know that the reverse is true. I thought the interest that Brooke Alexander and Lauren Cox had shown OU by visiting might be an indication of Lauren's interest, and Cox doesn't live all that far from Kornet. But, I didn't see a natural tie to Nancy, other than the fact that I didn't think either would play for Baylor.
I think this does make it more likely that we will get Cox since I think this takes the pressure from Cox to be the sole interior on a team. It would also give her the chance to do something that Nancy mentioned, to build a power at a school that is not a national power.

Not sure where Cox played on the USA team, but it seems like Baylor and Uconn are recruiting her for the 5.

I see some similarities in Cox and Dolson, and I would anticipate that Geno would use Cox as he did Dolson. I don't know that Kim has a specific plan for any position, and the biggest girl on the floor would likely be her post. Until Griner, she liked physical posts. Cox has the potential to be physical.
I think the U-16 team used Cox as a PF, but they really played with two PF rather than a post. Cox was the most post-like of anyone that I saw. But, her value was primarily in facing the basket. She is deadly on a five to ten footer at a 45 degree angle where she can use the glass.
