Since this is a basketball board, my uncle, Arthur "Hotshot" Kell, passed away last night. He was married to my dad's sister, who passed away a few years ago.

Anyway, Hotshot was given a full ride to OU after leading little Friend School (East of Chickasha; now an elementary school) to the 1954 Oklahoma Class C state championship. He was an all-state player and I believe the small school POY (my dad knew all of this stuff but he passed away 10 years ago).

Anyway, attached is a picture of my uncle in his OU uniform. He played against Wilt Chamberlain and lettered. I don't think he played all 4 years...seems like he quit after 2 of 3 and just finished his degree.

So sorry to hear that, BOB! My thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family as you deal with his passing.

Sorry to hear that BOB - Grady County's loss, but the great pickup game in the sky gets another great player. Again, so sorry for you and yours.

Very sorry for your loss.

It's a great picture -- your uncle was a handsome man.
