lol just because the NCAA as a whole makes decisions in their best interest doesn't mean that every decision that they make is wrong
So you think it's a good rule?
BTW, I don't have an issue with that rule because it can be a severe disadvantage to the university having a player in limbo
Someone like Nick Johnson deserves the right to find out if he is ready for the next level. Has done everything right, helped elevate the team back to prominence, but isn't afforded the luxury to explore options.
The schools don't like it because the player has value to the university. This is just another example of how regulations outside of paying players need to change. Put the whole "pay for play" argument aside and there are a bunch of tweaks which need to be made.
meh. somethings are tough. I can't fault the NCAA or universities for wanting to know if a player is going pro or coming back at all. They would be stupid to not have this rule. If the players don't like it, sorry
Title IX governs equal opportunity and prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in education programs receiving federal financial assistance.
If NCAA basketball or football players form a union they will reject the scholarship (financial assistance) and negotiate a percentage of revenue directly generated by their sport. If anybody bothered to read the cnbc article I posted using the NFL/NBA payout ratios that would earn every single FBS football player $178,000 per season and every single NCAA division 1 basketball player $375,000 per season. The revenue is publicly reported. All this talk about programs losing $ is simply fuzzy accounting.
Title IX would become irrelevant.

Boca ignorantly applies Blake Griffin's value to only Austin Johnson and Terry Evans,
The use of that word is always a tell. It's pretty much only used by the bottom of the gene pool. When at a loss for words and no ability to intelligently debate the dumb redneck will blurt out "man ur ignorant". lol lol White trash.

I had a feeling this thread might go south eventually. Looks like I was right. If you guys want to keep it open, find a way to make your point minus the insults and the name calling.
Thanks in advance for keeping it civil from this point forward!
Sorry, brother.
