NCAA Sweet 16 /// Oklahoma vs. Texas A&M /// Gameday Thread

This team is playing some damn good basketball!

Boomer! :OU-logo: :lon :buddy

We forced it inside and didn't fall in love exclusively with 3s and iso

Lon and Buddy's post game interviews were all class. Very special group of young men on this team

When OU plays defense like tonight they are a legit title contender.

We played OK on Friday. We played better on Sunday. We played even better today. As Coach Kruger says, improve every day! :chestram2:

Should've been playing UNI, but I'm damn glad we were playing the Aggies tonight.:D

I am always happy with a win. I'm even happier with a trip to Elite Eight territory. We played a GREAT first half, and just well enough to keep the Aggies from getting their hopes up after their little mini-run opening the second half.

Thankfully, our total anomaly of shooting 4-9 free throws was not a factor in tonight's game. Glad to get that out of our system; in a close game, free throws are usually the difference-maker.
I suspected something wasn't right when Buddy missed two of his first three free throws, just unheard-of for a guy who is almost a guaranteed make at the stripe.

To me that's the best part- the game by game improvement as we get closer to regaining the form we had the first half of the season. It blows my mind that we have a legit chance of winning it all if we keep improving for 3 more games :dance005:

The Elite Eight... what a great feeling. So proud of this team. Boomer Sooner!

Our blue collar team better than theirs. We are also more athletic. We made them look totally inept in the first half. Knew they would come back strong. Kennedy teaches tough basketball.

Appears that Woodard is the X Factor for us. When he has a good game we do great.

Good production from the bench. I felt after we fell out of the Big 12 race that Kruger risked some losses to force feed James, McNease and Manyang into more game action. He is always thinking long range.

Hope we have someone who can play point next year so Woodard can still produce from the 2 spot.

Puzzling about the free throw shooting. Their bad shooting kept them from making a run in the second half and ours kept us from blowing them away in the first half. Strange thing is that our best shooters were missing ours.
