I agreeNeither the men nor the women belonged in the tournament!

They were just a better team. Better coach too. We didn't even deserve to be in the tournament in my opinion after watching that game. I'd much rather have seen them in the NIT and play a few more games to get our only two good players, our freshmen, more playing time. As it is we were one and done. Two of our three seniors showed up, as predicted. Shame on Manning. Sixth year senior and scoring 7 points? Give her all the excuses you want, but I expected more from her.
I just hope Shaina or Ana don't up and transfer like last years' freshmen did. I'd like to think that two or three of the incoming freshmen can play, but with SC at the helm it's really hard to tell what to expect. I'm sure there are at least two duds in there, like Simpson was this year. So frustrating. It's unfortunate and kills me to say but our best days are most likely behind us. I can't decide what the bigger disappointment was, our women or our men this season. On to some sports that OU is actually good at!
Disagree. OU knew that DePaul would bomb away from behind the arc. Yet, OUr girls lay off of them and let them fire away.I don't think we were out coached. Hard to best a team who shoots 3 so well by all five players. Looking forward to next seasons talent upgrade.
So you scratch and claw your way back to within 6 points, get three straight stops, and as a D-1 college basketball player you can't make a layup, the most fundamental shot in basketball. Can't use the square on the glass. Nice to see this team play hard, but very fundamentally inept. Hoping for better things from the new kids next year. However if they aren't fundamentally sound either, just more of the same "stuff".
The highlighted adequately describes the Sooners for almost 8 years now.
It's Sherri Coale..she gets paid win or no winOMG that is EXACTLY what I've been saying the last few years. Manning for example, walks or travels every single game, even her 6th year. Her travel is what lost us the game in the last few seconds against Oklahoma State. The lack in the fundamentals has always been a glaring sore spot for this program, since that last Final Four team. Is it that we've just settled for less talented players? Or is the mentality of the staff lazy and not stressed this discipline as much as in the past? It's hard to tell, as I know I don't have a direct insight into the practices/staff. Anyone have an idea why this has been such a prevalent problem the last few seasons? Until we cut back on unforced errors and start getting disciplined again it'll very inconsistent seasons, I fear.
Glad I forgot to watch. Now is the time for a good house cleaning.
