NCAA Tournament Sweet 16/Elite Eight Thread

I was 2-2 last night, narrowly missing out on 3-1 with Arizona's near upset.

Tonight I've got:

Louisville
Michigan
Michigan State
Florida

I think the Michigan/KU and MSU/Duke games have a chance to be really good.

I'll go with it

FGCU
Michigan
MSU
Louisville

Mich KU is the game I really want to see - think going to be a load of fun and also think KU is going down.

Cinderella's are great but then you end up with these sort of ho hum matchups when the games get on the big stage - can't really see them competing with Florida. Hope they can but not seeing it.

But you could see them competing with Georgetown? What about Miami? The San Diego State team that pretty much ran us out of the Gym?

Don't think Georgetown is the best example, knowing what we know now that game was such a mismatch in styles and Gtown was really unprepared for what Gulf Coast was going to bring. We also weren't playing to a 10 seed at the end of the year, far from it.

Point being Florida can run up and down with them and from what I've seen they've had issues against teams that slowed it down and played really tough, physical D like Ole Miss did to them in the SEC tourney - I'm not sure how many games they've lost that they've scored in the 70s in. I hope to hell that GC wins but you're damn right I wish they were playing someone like Marquette as opposed to this team.

KU MICH - this is why we go crazy for March Madness baby... If KU loses this gonna burn pretty badly.

Jayhawk had a wide open 2 to tie and he passed the ball out for an off balanced 3. Jayhawks lose. Good day!

cant believe he passed the ball. he had a damn layup for the tie. idiot.

What an awesome game - Trey Burke you choked away so many games down the stretch earlier this year - pretty fing incredible job tonight.

Trey Burke may have hit all those shots in the second half - but that McGary kid was a STUD for that game.

He had a phenom effort - taking the ball away from Whitey quite a few times, loose balls, and knocking down all those bunnies. To me he was their MVP.

At worst he had an open lane for an easy jumper with no defender around him. That's all you can ask for to tie.

and he had the phantom call when he blocked releford clean. but taking withey off the dribble was the best. he didn't finish but it was impressive. can't believe he's a freshman. he's gonna have a helluva career.

I saw that and thought maybe I was confused about the score. KU boards are probably interesting right about now.

I had on Bob Davis and Greg Girleyman the last two minutes plus the OT. They were both wetting themselves. Talk radio and the local media will be beside themselves and the KU Star will probably run a mourning banner. Gotta' love it.

once more into the fold. let's see how FGCU plays the gators.

So far FGCU looks just as good as they were last weekend.
