NCAA Tournament

Wasn't 10-6 usually a bubble team/last at large in the previous Big 12? Didn't Colorado and Kansas St miss the dance a few times at 10-6 in the past due to a soft non-con? I'd guess 11-7 is what is needed.

I still think the focus should be NIT, if OU wins out their non-con then the bubble talk should start.

I would say most years 10-6 in the Big XII was a lock. 8-8 was more of a bubble team. OU made it both years they were 9-7 in the Big XII and went to the NIT when they were 8-8.

I don't care if we're a 16-seed that has to play-in to go against the top seed in the country --- I WANT BACK IN THE BIG DANCE!!!!!!

You are correct. Nebraska also once went 10-6 (1999) in conference play and missed the tournament.

Never mind the fact that we got in that year with a 10-6 record. Never mind the fact that Nebraska came to Norman that year with Venson Hamilton and beat the dog **** out of us.

:)

The Major conferences generally don't get seeds below 12 or 13. Those bottom 16 spots are reserved for automatic qualifiers.

Depending on how the season goes, an NIT run might be better for this team than a first round loss in the NCAA Tourney. That said, I'll take either at this point!
