ND job opening

If a HOF coach can be forgiven for a 11-20 disaster in his seventh season, Porter Moser deserves our support in his second year and beyond! He’ll definitely get mine!!!

I wouldn't be upset... because with a single phone call we could bring in Quannas White to lead the program and assemble a fantastic staff around him.

He has been coaching under Kelvin Sampson for 6-7 years at Houston.
He coached under Rick Stansbury for a 3 years at Western Kentucky.
He coached under Ed Conroy at Tulane for 2-3 years prior to that.

Head Coach: Quannas White (42 years old)
Assistant Coach: Bob Hoffman (currently at UCO)
Assistant Coach: Doc Sadler (currently at OU)
Assistant Coach: Ryan Humphrey (currently at OU)
Assistant Coach: Hollis Price (currently at Houston)

You think Bob is leaving uco HC for asst at Ou?

Dudes not going back to d1 grind for asst: yes I know he’d make a ton of money.

I would take Quannas in a heartbeat! I also think he might be interested. He has to know Kelvin will stay at UH until Kellen is ready to take over.

First assistant now or not, Q has some solid credentials. Two former Sooners is better than one should HP join the Q. Add the Hump and you’ve got a perfect trio. I also think the timing is right to hire an African American staff!

If Moser leaves, I’ll be on board with this idea!

kellen is already the announced Head coach in waiting (2019) and the #1 ast .

Frank would be a fantastic assistant to Quannas White. However, with Doc Sadler and Humphrey already on staff, I think it would be better to go with Hoffman and Price. If Hoffman won't leave, maybe Frank Haith would come in.

You don't think Quannas White and that staff would win at OU?

He's got UCO at 18-1 this year too.... Might be a tough sell. However, maybe he wants an easier gig that pays more money. He'd be the first call I would make if I was stepping into the job.

Exactly.... he's played and coached under one of the best coaches in the world for a long time. He's paid some dues... Went out on his own with Western Kentucky and Tulane, been mentoring under Sampson at Houston... He's ready.

He's our guy.

lol at thinking being the #1 ast at OU would be an "easier gig"

and again Qwhite is not even the #1 ast at houston

Man, I can't believe you guys are ****ting on Quannas White and his accomplishments.... Pretty bad.

But Boulder, he learned for a couple years under Ed Conroy. THE Ed Conroy!

Typical WichitaSooner…scoffing at the time he spent under Ed Conroy, while ignoring the decade he served with Stansbury and Sampson as an assistant!

This is the most fun thread I’ve seen on here in a long time. Thanks guys and keep up the good work.

ADA, do you hear Quannas mentioned much when jobs come open around the country, especially jobs at a P5 school, and one that is a top 25 all-time program? Have you even heard him mentioned for mid major jobs? If not, why do you think that is? Perhaps because guys who have never even been a lead assistant aren't considered remotely qualified for those kinds of jobs, even if they happened to be associated with Kelvin Sampson? I mean, going off the logic of some of these posts, maybe we should offer the job to Kelvin's daughter. She is even closer to him than Quannas and Hollis, and she also works for him at Houston.

Who knows, maybe 20 years from now, Quannas is a coaching star. But his resume is not even close to being in the mix to be the head coach at OU if the job comes open in the near future. If he hadn't played here, none of you would even entertain the notion that a guy with his credentials should be our next coach.
