Montgomery is ill and back in Norman. Stevens starting. Wodach catching. Playing Creighton now.

3-0 OU after one: loaded bases before a fielder's choice on a Knighten grounder, a single by Wodach, and an error on a ball hit by Clifton.

5-0 after two as Aviu hit her first career HR, left center. Pendley followed with a double, Erin with a single, and Self with a deep sac fly to center.

7-0 after three. Ended on a wierd double play. Bases loaded. Self hit a line drive off of the pitcher. Erin thought the pitcher caught it and went back to first. The umpire called both runners on first out. Explanation: a 1-3 double play, nothing else.
Chestnut in for Stevens.

They scored four on Chestnut in the fourth. A line out into another double play stops OU in the bottom of the fourth. Curiously, some of the hardest hit balls we have hit have been outs.

9-4 after five.
Walk to Hatfield, singles to Townsend and Aviu bring in the eighth run. SF by Miller brings in the ninth.

Sixth:: Chestnut allows a single, and Stevens comes back in.
11-4 after six as Romero and Wodach single. Clifton tripled to center, out at home trying to stretch it to an inside the park home run.

Caleigh seems to have come to play this weekend! 2 run single makes it 2-0 Sooners, with 2 out in top of 2nd.

Caleigh seems to have come to play this weekend! 2 run single makes it 2-0 Sooners, with 2 out in top of 2nd.

3-0 with all runs scored and all rbis by freshmen:

Romero hit by pitch
Knighten on by error
Clifton drives them in
arnold singles her to second
Aviu drives her in.

In the third, we are beginning to see how good these freshmen may be.

Erin fly out to left
Self reaches on error by shortstop
Romero doubled to right center
Knighten singled both home, now 5-0 with all rbis by freshmen.
Steals second
Wodach pops to second
Clifton walked
Arnold singled to short, knighten scored (first rbi by non-freshman). 6-0
aviu flies out to right.

NM State hit a leadoff HR in the third to make it 6-1.

BUT:
Pendley walked
Erin reached on an error by the pitcher on a sacrifice bunt
Self singled to right (an rbi without a freshman) to score Pendley, Erin to third.
Romero hits a sacrifice fly to left, Erin scored, Self to second
Knighten hits a home run to left. After hitting a foul HR on two previous at bats today, she hits one fair. 10-1. Knighten has four rbis in this game
Hatfield reaches on an error by the second baseman, now at second, rolls to wall,
Clifton walks
Arnold bunts, but it hits her, she was too far out of the box and was hit by pitch
Aviu singles to left, Hatfield to third, Clifton to third.
Pendley flied to left

Knighten doubled home a run in the fifth for her fifth rbi.

Paige still in the game.

Run-ruled NMState in five, 11-1
