Guys, I was talking with a good friend who is a big WV fan an donor and he was telling my that Bob Huggins has told five of his none seniors to look elsewhere because he is not going to retain them. He told them that WV was now playing in a bigger league and needed better players that what they have now and they would no longer be apart of his team.

Just thought that was very interesting.

I've always hated that. The scholarships ARE a yearly commitment so it's legal, but I am not sure how moral it is.

If any have graduated, could they come here and play right away? Who are their seniors?

Seems dumb. Maybe one or two would make sense, but replacing 5 or so guys with freshman isn't exactly going to turn you into a world beater. I guess I can understand cleaning the slate. I just think its going to back fire.

A bigger league? They came from the Big East. Sounds bogus.

"if we finish 6th then this is one helluva league"

I think it's the style of play that has more to do with it. The Big 12 doesn't have a lot of teams like Georgetown, Pittsburgh, Nova, Notre Dame that are more grind it out half court type teams. They couldn't defend well against the offenses in the conference this year. Basically Louisville, Syracuse, and Marquette were the only teams that were like the Big 12 teams.
