Next head coach Porter Moser

Terrible hire. Of everyone on the board, this was the worst one.

But, will see how he does.

He wasn't my first choice, but he has my support. BOOMER SOONER!

literally could not be more excited right now. freaking joe c got it done. unreal. home f'n run.

Does this mean you're on board with it now? You're posts the past few days have not been very supportive.

Only thing that worries me is style of offense. He will have to adopt. Which coaches do to the talent they have.

I’m all in!

Truth. It matters not what we think. Reality will dictate itself without our assistance.

This is a safe hire. I dont mind it, but also wouldnt have mind a swing for the fence on a young guy

You won’t be happy with anyone!

Sure I would have....

But hiring a 17 year coaching veteran who has been to 2 NCAA Tournaments and has lots of bad seasons seems off to me.

He's finished last in the Missouri Valley 4 times.

4-14
4-14
6-12
1-17
5-11
4-14
7-11

That's 50% of his conference seasons... 4 of those are last place finishes.

He has finished with under .500 conference records 10 TIMES... 10 out of 14 conference records he is under .500 in his league... That is 71% of the time.

Think about that... OU just hired a coach who finished UNDER .500 in his league 71% of the time.

Defend that.. Justify that.

Feel like Moser is going to be a huge home run or a failure, no in between.

Have to respect Joe C going out and treating the program with respect. Tons of opinions on both sides regarding Moser but nobody can say hiring him isn’t trying to do the best for OU.

Boomer!

Not my first choice but my concern is not his coaching, but recruiting. If he hires some great recruiters, those concerns might be invalid.

I am hopeful and optimistic.

***Najera as assistant and Slim as recruiting coordinator and donor that builds new arena.

I don't know much about the guy so I'm in wait and see mode.

You aren't concerned about a guy who finishes under .500 in the Missouri Valley 71% of the time?
