Watched a few of the practice videos and am more than just a little fired up about his potential. You can tell that he is comfortable on the wing and with the ball in his hands. Has a pretty good mid-range shot and also seems to see passing lanes pretty well.

Not sure what he'll bring defensively or on the glass, and he may be in some trouble on the blocks, but I do like what I have seen to date as far as the versatility of his offensive skill-set. I am confident that his being designated a captain was not solely because of the leadership (of which we have heard from several sources). Excited to have him as a Sooner.

Our spacing should be pretty good with this team. Blair will need room to penetrate and Fitz will have room to operate with Pledge, Cade and Thompson around the 3-pt line. Even Cade may benefit from having a big that can step out. Cade may be able to drive more this year, something he has gotten better at, and that gets him to the FT line. Cam Clark may benefit from Thompson and our other shooters as well.

He can cool them down when they're smoldering hot???

Was summoned to the University of Oklahoma to put out a massive fire that was created last season...

also, dude has red hair...just a fit...lol

Goes to show you that stats don't tell the whole story. He's beating out a guy that averaged 20 and 12 in juco.

We both know you can have awesome juco numbers and not be a good player... It depends on what league you play in and how your game translates to the next level.

Anthony Brown had awesome numbers in JUCO. Made OSU fans think he was going to be the next Mario Boggan.

Another Carl Albert guy...but anyone that comes out of there now i would be very careful about...their coach now is poor at developing players and is a career loser coaching at CASC and Murray State...

The last solid player to play there was Selvy, he played a few years before Murphree called it quits on coaching...he was a big reason his guys were successful at the next level...

But to your point HoHum, i wouldnt trust any Juco in their first year at a Major D1 program...even as good as Patillo was at times he was very incomplete as a player at this level...just hard to find a guy that can come right in and contribute at a high level...

yeah- coach Murphee was awesome and had great roots in Memphis area. The Corey Brewer, Selvy, Gladness, Thomas type kids aren't going to flock to Poteau like they did under Murphee.
