Nino Jackson to focus on two schools

It's good to see Phelps making an impact on this kid. OU has been stronger on Oklahoma kids than OSU and that's a plus in my book.

Perfect....you can't go wrong Nino!

Stupid post on an OU board. Of course he could go wrong (which I'm sure he will). For him to choose gay u would be worse than xh choosing gay u because at least xh had an excuse in that his retarded father played for gay u.

I guess it's kind of like us stealing the rare good football player that comes from the state of Kansas (see Tom Wort), but ku football totally sucks in comparison to OU basketball. ku barely has a winning record, hasn't ever played for a national championship and only has 3 conference titles (all shared) in the modern era, so it's not really a valid comparison since OU is a top 25 all-time basketball team and ku is more like one of the top 25 all-time WORST football teams.

I'm all for kids being able to go wherever they want, but that doesn't mean I have to like them or be a fan, and I will never be a fan of a kid from OK that goes to ku. I'm not a big NBA fan but I like to see the Thunder do well (since I live in KC and we don't currently have a team) but I don't think I could ever be a Durant fan since he went to ut or a fan of Aldrich since he went to ku.

Tom Wort played his high school ball in Texas, not Kansas...

Let me help you out here. XH originally chose Memphis over "gay u" and even looked into following Calipari to UK after enrolling at Kansas. I'm not sold that everything was rosy for Henry at KU especially when you consider he left about potentially millions on the table to come out early and be drafted 15th. Next, Tom Wort is from Texas via England. OU does have Kansas players on their football roster. Jayden Bird, Geno Grissom, and of Course Blake Bell. It's really apple and oranges though, because KU has signed three NBA players over the last 6 years from Oklahoma.

Personally, I don't have gripes with a kid in Oklahoma liking KU over OU.
My biggest gripe has been with OU coaches who have just laid down in the past and let Williams and Self come in with out a fight. I'm glad Capel isn't conceeding this kid, and all it takes is for the kid to have a better relationship with one coach than the other.

LOLed too! Maybe 1H3@rtHO$'s point was this: Is it possible for a "stupid post" from a gay u fan to have any relevance or add anything of value to an OU basketball board?

Thats the one thing I wish Ford would do a better job of. I really wish he would push to get some in state kids.

THe kid from Claremore? LOL! In fairness, there hasn't been the prospect instate that would warrant those offers. I think hindsight will show us that Cameron Downing and Amric Field were worth of instate offers. I also think that CJ Washington will be more of a productive player than a guy like Darrell Williams. OSU does have a standing offer for Dom Raney and I suspect that Pierre's two twins will get walk on spots.

As for Capel, I can't be more pleased with the recruiting evaluations and pursuit that he has devoted to Oklahoma kids. If you look at last year's class, OU is the closest high major school to Denison and Sherman along with Baylor. CJ is a local kid, and Nick Thompson has Oklahoma connections. Then you go and sign a class kid like Neal, it sends a good message.

for the record

I HEART this post

Guys, I realize that this is the off season and fans are a little cranky right now but we need to drop the snide comments to/about other posters on this board. This board is known for good/great basketball discussions and it really goes downhill when we get away from that. Thanks!
